The "#1000GallonsInfiltrated" Challenge is the individual, actionable, and trackable unit of effort that feeds into the larger Pledge.

What it is: A call to action for every volunteer and "Watershed Captain" to register their completed project using the Infiltration Index Calculator on your site. The calculator takes the project dimensions (e.g., swale size) and estimates how many gallons of water it will infiltrate annually. $1000$ gallons is used as an easy-to-remember and achievable threshold for a typical residential project.

Purpose: It's the social media hashtag and the unit of contribution. It allows the individual to celebrate their personal achievement ("I contributed $5,000$ gallons!") while directly incrementing the total of the 1 Million Gallon Pledge tracker.
